Ambar Navarro

Ambar Navarro is an LA based film director and artist. At age 17 she began making live-action puppetry and 8mm films while taking classes at the Austin Film School.  She then applied to the California Institute of the Arts School of Film/Video and received a B.F.A. in Experimental Animation (class of '15.) Growing up collecting miniatures, her main focus at school was directing and fabricating stop-motion animations. Ambar interned at Stoopid Buddy, Screen Novelties, and Bix Pix on the stop-motion Adventure Time episode . Since graduating she has had work exhibited in 40+ galleries and works as a director, editor, fabricator, and curator.
