Ambar Navarro is an LA based film director, animator, and artist. Originally from San Antonio, TX she moved to attend the California Institute of the Arts where she received her B.F.A. in Experimental Animation (2015).
Her work explores online culture as well as incorporating traditional Mexican imagery in miniature still lifes or video. An obsession with detail and control can be seen in her editorial photography with miniatures, stop-motion, or music video directing. Her work has been featured at The Tate Modern, PBS, Nylon Japan, NPR, i-D, Dazed, and Bullett Magazine.
